I'm Jojogingerhead, a 31 year old artist & musician based in Brighton (UK) satirically documenting the highs and lows of my secondary triple negative breast cancer diagnosis. Trying to see the light in a dark and scary situation without using the words fight, battle, journey or survivor.
I’m incredibly touched and grateful for my AMAZING friends who secretly organised a group car boot sale on the weekend and donated their items to raise money for me. They raised a whooping £360 in the end, money that I shall use towards travel costs for future treatment and to pay for web hosting for this blog which I hope will raise awareness for breast cancer and in some way help people in a similar situation.
After all the shit that has happened in the last few months, some good things have come of it. One thing I have noticed more than anything else is how amazing humans can be. I knew I had a lovely bunch of friends before but they have been nothing but truly kind, caring and supportive and I feel incredibly lucky to have such an amazing bunch of people in my life. This also includes all the people I have met online and on Facebook who’ve shown their support through kind messages and comments. It sounds cheesy but I feel like a completely different person than I was 4 months ago, I look at life with clarity now, changed for the better and stronger than I knew I could ever be.
I can’t believe you Pooh’d on the ground like that.
Japes. This is incredibly awesome.
