No make up (or eyebrow or eyelash) selfie
Sadly this year’s no make up selfie isn’t a choice.
It was about a year ago that I posted a photo (see below) to Facebook in a tongue in cheek piss take of the ‘no make up selfie’ craze that was supposedly raising awareness for breast cancer.

My Facebook status: “Here is a photo of my no make up selfie for the dare to bare campaign that is taking Facebook by storm (I will donate the money on payday). Although I am baffled to why a ‘no make up selfie’ would raise awareness of breast cancer, surely it would be more productive to share a diagram of how to check ones breasts or listing symptoms?”
I was just pondering how funny it is that my ‘no make up selfie’ this year very much does resemble a pig now that my eyebrows and eyelashes have fallen out! I now realise why we need eyelashes having spent the past month with sore, swollen, itchy eyes that stream rivers of tears if I even look at my make up bag.
Not sure which I prefer 😉
