The Malignant Ginger

I'm Jojogingerhead, a 31 year old artist & musician based in Brighton (UK) satirically documenting the highs and lows of my secondary triple negative breast cancer diagnosis. Trying to see the light in a dark and scary situation without using the words fight, battle, journey or survivor.

Penultimate chemo

IMG_2442.JPG

After a night of barely any sleep (thank you steroid induced insomnia that had me tweeting David Cameron with our petition at 4am), it is now penultimate chemo day and there’s not a better person to accompany me than my dear friend Kate (affectionately nicknamed Mummy Bum Egg, don’t ask)!

Our song for the day shall be no other than The Frog Chorus by Paul McCartney but a version sung by the legendary Mummy Bum Egg herself! I go into the ward today armed with chocolate and crisps as I have noticed that I end up DESPISING whatever food I eat on chemo day so this shall be good for my impending diet. I just hope the new evil poison doesn’t make me feel like I’ve been hit by a truck of pregnant elephants again, oh well, the end is nigh…

*Update*

This was the quickest and easiest day of chemo so far apart from feeling really drowsy. We were able to leave by 2.30 ish. The day was summed up by dear Kate singing a song about it… Pouchy wouchy goney woney, into mummy’s body wody, sang in the style of Showaddywaddy. La la la la.
